SE 1 EP 3 – Difficult Customer

Duration: 21min

Description: A customer, unhappy with the way Connor made his cappuccino, asks for a refund. Connor brings this up with Theo and Patricia, the only friends he has, and they attempt to figure out how exactly Connor fucked up the cappuccino. Concluding that Connor’s cappuccinos are passable, Theo and Patricia suspect that the customer might just be an asshole. At work, the customer comes again and orders a cappuccino. Connor is confused: why is he ordering a cappuccino again? He learns from the customer, an Olympic marathon runner named Tim, that yes the cappuccino is shitty but he really likes the vibe of the cafe and can’t really bear trying to find “new digs”.

SE 1 EP 4 – Craigslist

Duration: 21min

Description: Connor has been eating on his floor in his new apartment. When Theo and Patricia finally visit him, they are appalled that he doesn’t have any furniture. The three of them scroll through Criagslist in search of free tables and chairs. They finally find a guy who is anxious to get rid of all of this stuff. They arrive at Craigslist Guy’s house to pick up the furniture. He mentions he had matching chairs but that morning someone came to grab them for their new apartment in Seattle. Police sirens sound outside and the man flees. Connor, Theo & Patricia are arrested. Turns out the Craiglist guy is an international fugitive. The police chief realizes he has the wrong folks, and releases Connor, Theo & Patricia. He keeps the furniture as evidence. The three eat ramen on the floor of Connor’s apartment and agree that they should probably just go to Ikea next time.

SE 1 EP 5 – Throwdown

Duration: 21min

Description: Connor is trying to get more followers on Instagram by taking pictures of his latte art. Theo convinces Connor that if he wants more followers, he has to do more interesting things. Connor disagrees, but the two of them agree to attend a midnight latte art throwdown. They train for a week, then meet at a warehouse for the event. The throwdown is full of characters, and Connor is having more fun talking to eccentric baristas than he is actually competing. Connor loses the throwdown, and Theo comes in second place to a bald guy, which for some reason enrages Theo. Upon returning to the cafe that morning, they learn that Patricia gets followers solely by creating a pleasing color palate throughout her Instagram. All of her photos are literally of rocks.

SE 1 EP 6 – The Cupping

Duration: 21min

Description: Connor and Theo can’t agree on the flavor notes of a particular cup of coffee. Exasperated, Patricia drags the two of them to a coffee cupping in order to give them the vocabulary to settle their dispute. The three of them are drowned in paperwork and literature by an always-smiling roaster named Brett, who sits them down at his beautiful cafe counter and serves them exotic coffees. The trio starts describing everything as “nutty”, “floral”, and “tart”, such as their bike routes, their outfits, and the weather. It escalates until they all taste a horrible cup of coffee, which they all agree tastes like “shit”. Everything is normal after this, and Connor and Theo agree to keep their coffee-tasting journals private.

SE 1 EP 7 – Gesha Pt. 1

After much deliberation, the trio decides that the coffee ultimately belongs to Connor so he can brew it if he wishes. They covertly ask around and get the best coffee-brewing equipment they can and meet at 7am at Connor’s apartment to partake in the Gesha coffee. As they are about to drink, the front door bursts open and a SWAT team pours in. TO BE CONTINUED.
